We’re so excited to announce that we have a queen size quilt made by Robbie Bingham. Miss Robbie’s quilts are always popular at our auctions and we haven’t had one in a couple of years. This is a quilt like your great-grandmother would have made. It is entirely pieced and quilted by hand. Thousands of stitches. Such a bright, happy quilt incorporating hundreds of “strings” of different fabrics in the stars which are set together with bright yellow sashing. You’ll want to be the high bidder for this beautiful work of love.
Join us Saturday, June 18th for the Memphis BBQ Feast with homemade desserts, silent auctions, and live auctions. You must register ahead of time. Please register as soon as possible so we can get a count for ordering the bbq by Brother Ray and the Fossil Fueled Porkers. http://www.ssbartlett.org/registration-form
Samantha is a 2nd grade teacher and spent her spring break piecing this quilt for our auction. It is in bright, fun colors and would be perfect for a sweet baby girl. It is backed with bright green minky fabric for ultimate softness. We are so thankful for loving folks who help us again and again to raise the funds to get children into christian families. Be sure to register for the Memphis BBQ Feast on June 18th and bid on this wonderful quilt!
Darlene and Raymond Carter’s neighbor, Dianne Horne, has been watching the preparations that the Fossil Fueled Porkers are making for our bbq feast tomorrow night. Darlene has been lending a hand, too. She picked up the dozens and dozens of buns we’ll be piling high with that smoky pulled pork!!
Dianne was impressed with their hard work and dedication to Sacred Selections and wanted to get involved also. She brought them this bright and beautiful quilt for the auction. It is a Random Block pattern and is approximately 67″x 54″. It is outline quilted in buttercream and pink. Perfect for a small bed or use it as a comfy throw on the sofa or your favorite chair.
California quilt artist, Gail Thomas, has once again graced us with one of her works of art. Her quilt was a 2011 Block of the Month Quilt and is titled: Three Cheers. It features variations on the star motif in red, white, and blue. Gail machine pieced and quilted it and it is perfection!
We are so thankful for Gail’s continued support of Sacred Selections through her art.
Just received word that we will have another Gail Thomas quilt this year. This one is called Betty’s Garden. Gail lives in Alta Loma, California and donated a gorgeous Carpenter’s Star quilt last year. That quilt became our highest priced item ever to sell at our auction in five years. It brought $1,025.00!! We’ll give you a peek so you can start saving your money for this wonderful quilt and the other fantastic stuff we will have this year. Don’t forget to register for the Famous Memphis BBQ Feast and Auction that will take place May 31. You don’t want to miss this one!
